Vins Del Comtat - El Salze

$0.00

El Salze Monastrell is a local wine made entirely from Monastrell grapes sourced from El Salze, located in the municipality of Beneixama (Montaña Alicantina). The wine comes from extraordinary plots with vines aged between 40 to 60 years and which produce very low yields. The vines are traditionally planted in a glass and have many gaps due to weak vigor. The vineyard is situated at a high altitude of 630 meters and has a Mediterranean mountain climate. The vineyard practices respect for the identity of the Monastrell grape.

Grape Variety: 100% Monastrell

Origin: Small farms in the area of El Salze (Beneixama, Montaña Alicantina) at 630 meters above sea level.

Winemaking: very mild maceration in stainless steel, followed by aging in 500-liter French oak barrels with light toasting. The development adheres to the principle of minimal intervention.

Ageing: Aged for 12 months in 500-liter new oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: The wine exhibits a lively cherry color with a medium depth. It offers very intense aromas reminiscent of plums, white pepper, and floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh, deep, and well-balanced, with a good harmony between fruit and wood, and a great persistence.
