Roger & Didier Raimbault - Sancerre Red

$0.00

The famed Sancerre offers some of the best expression of Sauvignon-Blanc in France. The Raimbault Family has been producing wine in Sancerre for 10 Generations.

Appellation: Sancerre

Region: Loire Valley

Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir

Vineyard: The Raimbault family has been growing vines since the mid-17th century. The combination of experience, technique, and environment allows us to produce high-quality wines while respecting the typicality of each vintage. The estate is in the heart of the vineyards of Sancerre.

Winemaking: The grapes come from a very steep, small plot of vines nestled between Ampuis and Saint-Cyr-sur-le-Rhône. Due to its southern orientation, a gentle winemaking process, and lengthy maturation, this wine is bottled without filtering, resulting in a delightful product. Total respect is given to the wine and its terroir.

Tasting Notes: Bright ruby color. The aromatic nose reveals red fruits, cherries, and spices. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a good balance between structure and acidity, featuring a delicate cherry character and a gentle finish.

Food Pairing: This wine pairs well with truffles and tagliatelle, farm chicken, or soft-rind cow’s cheeses like Brie or Camembert. It will keep up to 15 years without losing its balance.
