Appellation: Mendoza
Region: Uco Valley (Argentina)
Soil Type: Majority of sand, silt and clay with plenty of pebbles. Altitude of 1100mt.
Grape varieties: 80% Malbec, 20% Syrah
Winemaking: Vertical trailing system, leaf thinning by hand. Manual harvest, 100% of the crop is from our own grapes. Maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 8 months in French oak barrels of one use at least. Estate bottled wine.
Tasting notes: Vegan wine. Blending syrah in to the region’s signature malbec lends depth and body to malbec’s high-toned blueberry fruit and supple tannins. The result is a smorgasbord of flavors, with lavender and rosemary, lots of dark berry fruit and smoked meat.
Food pairing: Seafood, Aperetives, Summer Salads.

Vintage 2021: 90/100 Vinous and 91/100 James Suckling
“The 2021 Malbec-Syrah Perlita is a blend of 80% Malbec and 20% Syrah from the Uco Valley and was aged for eight months in used barrels. Purple in hue. The reductive nose presents violets, plum and raspberry over mountain herbs and a bed of black pepper. The subtly indulgent palate has a velvety texture and bold but gentle tannins, resulting in a light structure that soars over the juicy flow. The 2021 is a rewarding, long-lasting, high-altitude red.” Joaquín Hidalgo (Vinous)
“A juicy and expressive red with plenty of berries and spiced cherries with some flowers. Soft tannins on the medium-bodied palate with a bright streak of acidity followed by a fruit-expressive finish. Vegan. Sustainable. Drink now.” Zekun Shuai (James Suckling)
