Château Viranel - Viognier

$0.00

For five centuries, the vineyard has belonged to the same family. Tradition and modernity are at the heart of winemaking, which is why they practice environmentally friendly agricultural methods on the 98 acres of their family estate.

Appellation: Cessenon Pays d’Herault

Region: Southwest France

Grape Variety: 100% Viognier

Vineyard: The Mediterranean climate and the cool nights of the Cévennes provide the grapes with optimal maturity. The northern wind, called Tramontane, dries the humidity, ensuring the grapes remain in perfect sanitary condition.

Winemaking: Harvesting is done manually in the morning before the heat rises. During a traditional vinification over lees, the temperature is strictly controlled throughout fermentation. Juices mature over lees with regular stirring for three months after vatting.

Tasting Notes: This wine has a beautiful golden straw color with green highlights and a delicate nose of white flowers and citrus fruits. The palate is sweet, marked by nice acidity, dominated by lemon and grapefruit notes enhanced by apricot aromas with a fresh and lingering finish.

Food Pairing: This wine is perfect for an aperitif or with seafood, fish, and cheese.
