Chateau Vignelaure Rosé
CHÂTEAU VIGNELAURE was created in 1960 by Georges Brunet (former owner of Château La Lagune, Grand Cru Classé in Haut Médoc, Bordeaux). Since 2007, Château Vignelaure has been owned by the Sundstrom family, who work with a passionate team always striving for excellence.
Appellation: Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence
Region: Provence
Grape Varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Vermentino
Vineyard: In the north of Aix-en-Provence, surrounded by wild and immaculate nature, stands Château Vignelaure. The vineyard is a pioneer in planting Cabernet Sauvignon in Provence. Château Vignelaure is converting its 148 acres to organic production and also produces perfectly balanced white and rosé wines.
Winemaking: After a parcel selection, the old vines (25-50 years old) are harvested by hand and meticulously sorted. Juices are extracted using a direct pneumatic press and are immediately cooled and settled for 48 hours. Slow fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks is followed by a partial malolactic fermentation before being aged on fine lees for 3 months.
Tasting Notes: Salmon color, light and bright. Intense nose of fruits (berries, peach, grapefruit). On the palate, it offers balance and finesse with a long finish of white fruits and spices.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs perfectly with sushi, salmon, or tuna-based dishes.
