Château Sablard du Grand Moine
Located just a few vine rows from the superb 12th-century church in Lalande de Pomerol, this estate originally consisted of a gravelly 2-hectare plot in the commune of Lalande de Pomerol. Château Sablard du Grand Moine’s winery features the latest technical innovations in winemaking. Double insulation prevents major temperature changes, and small stainless steel vats enable single plot vinification.
Appellation: Lalande de Pomerol
Region: Bordeaux
Grape Varieties: Merlot 90%, Cabernet Franc 10%
Vineyard: The total area of the vineyard is 14 hectares, with eight of these located in a single block surrounding a modern, functional cellar built in 1992. The vines are 25 years old and grow on sandy soil with a gravelly subsoil.

Tasting Notes: This wine has a deep red color with a crushed cherry hue. On the nose, delicate notes of oak and red fruits emerge, followed by a velvety attack. It is well-balanced and has a good sweetness. It is full-bodied with a delicate fruity and vanilla finish.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs perfectly with white meat such as chicken or turkey. It is also a great companion for a BBQ with friends.
