Château Maucoil - Côtes du Rhône Villages Tradition Red
Appellation: Côtes-du-Rhône Villages
Region: Southern Rhone Valley
Grape Varieties: Grenache 50% - Syrah 25% - Carignan 25%
Vineyard: The proximity with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation and the similarity of its soils (a mixture of sand and pebbles) as well as the old vines, give this Côtes du Rhône Villages a great concentration and character.
Winemaking: The harvest is carried out by hand and sorted berry by berry before going into vat. After a fermentation period of 25 days with pumping over and punching down, the wines are drawn off and aged in vats until bottling.
Tasting notes: The wine has an intense ruby color. Aromatic and rich on the nose, it develops black fruit such as blackberry and plum. The palate is well concentrated and lasts with an elegant finish.
Food Pairing: Ideal with barbecue and grilled meats or cow's cheeses.
