Château Larrivet Haut-Brion - Les Demoiselles de Larrivet Haut-Brion

$0.00

Made by a motivated and rigorous team who lavish the greatest of care on viticulture and winemaking, the wines of Château Larrivet Haut-Brion are outstanding – a true journey for the senses.

Appellation: Pessac-Leognan

Region: Bordeaux

Grape Varieties: 57% Merlot - 40% Cabernet-Sauvignon - 3% Cabernet-Franc

Vineyard: The famous Terroir of Pessac-Léognan is comprised of deep gravelly and sandy soil overlying a clay subsoil. Here, the 25-year-old vine is pruned using the double Guyot method and benefits from various practices aimed at extracting the best quality grapes (ploughing or planting grass, thinning-cutting of leaves, green harvest).

Winemaking: The winery is equipped with stainless steel vats with temperature control, allowing for vinification plot by plot. After traditional winemaking with daily pumping over and a long maceration period, one-third of the wine is aged in large barrels and the remainder in regular barrels and vats for 14 months.

Tasting Notes: Beautiful and brilliant ruby color. The nose is open and fruity, expressive with aromas of ripe black fruit and subtle vanilla notes. The palate is smooth and ample, rounded, enhanced by elegant, well-integrated tannins, with a long finish.

Pairing Food: The wine will be delightful along with barbecued Beef Ribs, Steak or Grilled Chicken.
