Château Beauséjour
The presence of the family in the village of Puisseguin dates to the Middle Ages. Marceau Dupuy, grandfather of Gerard, was a Doctor of Medicine and also a politician, who acquired the property Beauséjour in 1934. Upon returning from the war in 1945, Alain Dupuy, his son, took over the wealth management by applying the teachings of his grandfather, Mr. Berthon, owner of Château Langlais. Today, Gérard Dupuy manages the entire company.

Vineyard: Located in the heart of the village of Puisseguin, the vineyard of Château Beauséjour encompasses 49 acres on the famous clay-limestone of Terroir of Saint Emilion. In the middle of the estate is a 19th century castle. The stone walls of the castle allow the cellar to provide optimum conditions for ageing wines of excellence due to its constant temperature. Vines are grown using the traditional methods of the great-grandfather, now qualified as "organic methods". The soil is free of chemical products, and the presence of fragile wild tulips is evidenced every spring.
Winemaking: The vinification takes place without added products, in compliance with organic farming specifications, and using indigenous yeasts to maintain the authenticity of the Terroir. Fermentation lasts for 2 to 3 weeks at temperatures below 30°C to preserve fruit flavors and achieve well-balanced wines. This initial step is followed by a long maceration to extract tannins necessary for the extended aging process in bottles, which lasts an average of 15 years.
Tasting Notes: The bouquet of the wine reflects its deep garnet color with intense strawberry notes. The palate is well balanced, soft and round with fine tannins.
Food Pairing: The wine will be the perfect companion for grilled meat or with a chocolate-based dessert.
