This wine is 65% Syrah, 15% Grenache, 13% Carignan and 7% Mourvèdre.
TASTING NOTES
“Up with some of the top wines in the vintage, the 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Les Cimes is a blend of mostly Syrah and Grenache, with 20% Carignan and 5% Mourvèdre that was brought up in 25% new 500-liter barrels. It offers terrific notes of black raspberries, cassis, graphite, licorice and pepper, as well as full-bodied richness, a fresh, elegant texture and a great finish. It doesn’t come cheap (nor should it), but it’s a terrific wine.” Reviewed by Jeb Dunnuck for The Wine Advocate.

STORY
Domaine de l’Agly was born in Latour de France, a medieval town and old port of entry of the Kingdom of France from Catalonia.
This 12 hectares vineyard, grown on mica schist and blue granite, is located at 300 meters high in the beautiful valley of the Agly river (eagle in Catalan), between the Mount Canigou and the Mediterranean sea.
The estate is run by three friends: Boris Kovac, Hervé Sabardeil and David Serodes.
