75% Merlot – 25% Cabernet Franc

Vineyard:

Château Moulin de Lavaud is situated in Néac at the edge of the Pomerol appellation.

Winemaking:

The harvest is carried out by hand and transported to the cellars in small crates where are sorted. The grapes are then put in to stainless steel thermo-regulated vats and ceramic lined cement vats and fermented for approximately 21 days. During the first days of the fermentation the wine is mixed with the lees 2 or 3 times a day in order to ensure optimum extraction of the tannins and good colour from the grapes. The wine is traditionally aged for 12 months in oak barrels.

The wine is harmonious and gathers intensity, fullness and delicacy.

This wine will be perfect with meat, poultry and cheese.
