I have PlugY 11.02 and LoD 1.13D and the other day, I started to have this error after a run: Unable to enter the Game - Generic bad file error.

PlugY is a mod whose primary purpose is to increase the stash size for Diablo II characters. However I forgot to save my shared stash file, and only kept my chars, so I lost my nice "museum" stash that I had going, nevermind! When Diablo is first installed it does not have a save folder generated, I would create a folder named Save in the Diablo II folder and then put the character file in there. If I try D2SE with PlugY I get "This application has encountered a critical error: the file data is corrupt" and it mentions "D2SE.exe" and "d2data.mpq". by kidpaddle94 » Sat Aug 14, 2010 5:34 pm, Post I have no idea about this thing, but here is some information for you: my original D2 (let's call it D2 A) does not have this problem while the file folder is C:\USERS\***\saved games\diabloII, it's always OK with the game, with gomule or plugy. I put a stamina potion in the personal stash, and added a stamina potion to the shared stash (along with the stuff that was already in there), and when I did a S&E/reload, suddenly the shared stash was as I left it, and the personal stash had been replaced with the old shared stash (exactly the same, minus the stamina potion that I had just added). do you get the "Error accessing the system registry".
Not sure if it was needed, but I changed compatibility to Run this in compatibility mode for Windows 8, and Run this as an administrator, Launch From Plugy.exe shortcut, make a new character, name it and start the game, then exit out. Do we know what causes it and how to fix it? you can always run it on window mode cos im guessi the reason is because D2 cant run on a big screen resolution (D2LOD can i guess) so yea go to shortcut>properties>Target> add “-w” to the end so like: “C:Program FilesDiablo IIDiablo II.exe” -w this is how i got mines to work.
