Wines Domaine La Cadenière - Vallon d'Escale Rosé

Domaine La Cadenière - Vallon d'Escale Rosé

$0.00

It all started in the 1950s, in Vallon de La Cadenière. Their first wine was made in 1973. The estate has supported then 3 generations. Their property has 59 hectares of vines, all in AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. Today, Vincent, Pierre and Gabriel Tobias take care of the estate, accompanied by their sister Sylvie. This estate is now completely organic.

Appellation: Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence

Region: Provence

Grape Varieties: Cinsault 60%, Syrah 20%, Rolle/Vermentino 20%

Vineyard: The Vallon d’Escale is from an emblematic plot: Located near an ancient Greco-Roman road, numerous remains have been found there showing that the plot was already in use more than 2000 years ago. This wine is made with organic grapes.

Winemaking: Grapes are picked in the early hours of the harvesting day to retain the fresh character of the fruit, followed by 20% ageing in barrel for 3 months.

Tasting Notes: Vallon d’Escale Rosé is a gastronomy-friendly wine with a pale dress and balanced, fleshy, and structured palate. It is dominated by citrus aromas and pairs well with a variety of dishes.

Food Pairing: Aperitif, tomato crumble, stuffed vegetables, grilled meat.

Ratings: Vintage 2021: 91 Points Wine Enthusiast
