Trombetta – Chardonnay Indindoli Vineyard

Share

Russian River Valley

Limited production wines by mother-and-daughter duo Rickey Trombetta Stancliff and Erica Stancliff. Clones of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay exemplify the rich minerality, soils and cool weather of the Sonoma Coast, resulting in a beautifully balanced wine, enhancing every meal. Each and every bottle has been hand harvested and hand produced.

Grape Varieties:

100 % Chardonnay

Vineyard:

On the Four Brothers vineyard, selected clones of Chardonnay have been planted 15 years ago on  a sandy loam soil, located in the heart of the Russian River Valley, which benefits from a Nortwestern sun exposure. Yield are voluntary controlled at 2 tons per acre.

Winemaking:

Grapes are hand-harvested by night and immediately pressed. The fermentation takes place in barrel with native yeast, then the wine is aged for 8 months on lees in French oak barrels.

Tasting Note:

This wine offers a nose of honeysuckle and orange blossom notes enhanced by slightly oak spices. The lush palate confers a nice minerality, composed of honeyed apple, Asian pear, and vanilla cream.

Food pairing:

This wine will be perfect with delicate food such as cooked shellfish, like crab and prawns, steamed or grilled fish.
