J.M Gobillard & Fils – Cuvée Prestige Millésimé
Champagne AOC
Grape Variety:
60% Chardonnay – 40% Pinot Noir
Vineyard:
Near by Eparnay in the heart of Champagne, the great village of Hautvilliers place of birth of Dom Perignon, overhangs the vineyard of J&M Gobillard Père & Fils. The 61-acre vineyard results from traditional know-how, passion and dynamism, the priority of the family estate. Grapes for this wine are selected at harvest from old vines with low production, the best exposed on mid-slopes.
Winemaking:
After a traditional winemaking with plot selection, the base wines which are more concentrated, must successfully pass a blind tasting test to be part of the final blend. The creation of the master Champagne of the Gobillard house is a meticulous process from the vineyard to the cellar where the wine aged at least 3 years.
Tasting Notes:
The nose is intense with notes of dried fruit and nuts such as almond and hazelnut. The palate is long, generous and well balanced. Very elegant and harmonious, this Cuvée Prestige lives up to the best Champagne of the region.
Food Pairing:
A unique wine for aperitif or table.
