Côtes de Provence  AOC

Grapes Varieties:

Cinsault 40% – Grenache 30%-Syrah 30%

Vineyard:

Nestled in the hills, a short drive from St-Tropez, a 42-year old vine grow in harmony, on a magnificent terroir, protected from the mistral wind by glorious olive trees. Since the 19th century the perfect Rosé varieties have grown in this family-run estate. Rows of Grenache grown on stony soils and the Syrah on limestone and sandy soil.  Making Hamptons Rosé is a combination of many different factors,  where the environment and the climate play a major role.

Winemaking:

As days are very hot, harvest are hand picked by torch light in late August and early September. The cool nights keeps sugar levels stable, and most importantly retain the crispness of the aromas within the grape. Prior a gentle pressing at 50 F, grapes are destemmed. Then the traditional winemaking occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature during 12 days.

Tasting Note:

With a bright salmon color, this rosé develops a nice bouquet characterized by red fruits. In the mouth a lively  feeling with citrus and grapefruit notes give it an extra lift to the finish.

Food Pairing:

It pairs perfectly with chicken  and stir-fried Chinese vegetables or by itself as an aperitif with friends.
