Clos René
Pomerol AOC
The vineyard of Clos René, family-run property passed down from one generation to the next since more than a century, is located in the commune of Pomerol, 40 kilometres North-east of Bordeaux, on the right bank. In the past, the domain was mentioned on the Belleyme’s map of the region (1764) under the name of “Reney”. Nowadays, Jean-Marie Garde, grandson and successor of Pierre Lasserre, gives all his attention and experience to the care of growing and vinification of Clos René’s vines. Even if Clos René is not the most Pomerol’s domain covered by the media, or the most renowned, it remains remarkable for the regularity of its vintages.
