Chateau Le Trouillet
AOC BERGERAC ROUGE
Château Le Trouillet is a charming family property for more than 5 generations. Located in the hills in Gageac Rouillac, has twenty-two hectares of vines.
Grape Variety:
70 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 % Cabernet Franc
Winemaking:
The grapes, picked at perfect maturity, are de-stemmed and lightly crushed. The maceration, which lasts about 15 days, is done by controlling the temperatures. The draining of each vat is decided based on tasting controls when the balance of the wine is achieved. The wine is then matured in stainless steel tanks for 6 to 8 months.
Tasting Note:
This generous Bergerac has a magnificent ruby color. A flattering full bouquet, withdelightful red fruit notes. A balanced palate, unveiling velvety tannins.
Food Pairing:
Best served with red meat or white meat in sauce as well as with a selection of cheeses.
