AOP Corbieres Boutenac

A powerful and elegant wine, all the grandeur of a Cru Boutenac.

Grape Varieties:

Carignan, Syrah, Grenache

Vineyard:

The Piemont of Pech Tenarel  is a slope covered with yellow sands of Aeolian origin; a terroir with high quality potential, classified in Cru Boutenac appellation. The average fertility of this environment allows the establishment of several grape varieties.

Winemaking:

Ploughing of soils, reasoned phytosanitary protection. Free growing vegetation for the Carignan, trellising for the Syrah and Mourvedre. Cultural practices adapted to the conditions of the vintage and aimed at ensuring a very high level of quality of polyphenols. Manually harvested, sorted on vine trunk.

Manual sorting on arrival in the cellar. The grapes are harvested and put directly in new 300L oak barrels for fermentation. Daily manual punching down for 20 days.

Tasting note:

A cherry red color. Aroma of red and black berries with hints of sweet spices and vanilla. On the palate it is elegant with tennis well softened. Service temperature of 18 to 20. Can be kept 10 years.

Food pairing:

To taste with meat, poultry and game.
