Chateau Bouscassé – Les jardins
Pacherenc du Vic Bilh AOC
Chateau Bouscassé is the place of birth of the pioneer winemaker Alain Brumont. His adventurous spirit led him to discover the hidden secrets of Gascogny such as the unkown Petit Courbu. He seazed the opportunity to reveal its silky and expressive charactistics by creating a cuvée made of almost 100% of the grape variety. The result is, as always, a great success for our enjoyment.
Grape Variety:
Petit Courbu – Petit Manseng
Vineyard:
This wine embodies the glory of Petit Courbu, the first great variety of white grape in the Southwest according to Alain Brumont. On the terroir of Pacherenc du Vic Bilh, the grape variety takes advantage of clay and limestone soil.
Winemaking:
After a careful plots selection, the harvest is gently and slowly pressed before being put in vats for maceration and fermentation. In order to preserve all its natural characteristics and aromas, the wine is aged on lees for 10 to 12 months in tanks.
Tasting Notes:
The wine has a delicious freshness but yet aromatically powerful. Wild flowers and exotic fruit are express with smoothness on the palate with a mineral hint. The finish is lively and delightful.
Food Pairing:
This great and original white wine will enhance every fishes or seafood but can also be drink by itself as an aperitif.
