Hey guys, I bought smoked licence plate covers and I unscrewed my plate to remove my old frame and tried to put on the smoked licence plate frame but turns out that they won't fit because the screws are to small but that's not the issue. So no need to go into the boot. I wanted to replace the screws on my rear license plate and they just seem to spin and spin and not want to come out.
In fact, in some states, you need license plates on both the front and the back of your car. I … I cant seem to get any leverage somehow to remove the screws. I had the same problem, and doing mine i snaped a drill off inside, as the screws are chrome plated brass. The size of the head of the screw makes me think it's a standard coarse thread license plate screw which usually only threads into PLASTIC inserts. Just a quick point.
So strange. The fastener/grommet fell into the trunk lid, so that now I hear it rattling around every time I open the trunk. I think I'll just get the service center to handle it, because I need to contact them about a misalignment on the whole trunk lid. Seal with RTV. Use pliers grab and pull on the screw head.
