Two Great Winemakers from One Small Family

Alain Brumont is a renowned French winemaker celebrated for revitalizing the Madiran wine region in southwest France. In 1979, he inherited his family's 17-hectare vineyard, Château Bouscassé, and a year later, acquired Château Montus. Brumont's innovative approach, particularly his focus on the Tannat grape variety, elevated these estates to international acclaim, positioning them among the world's finest vineyards.

In 2018, Antoine Veiry, Brumont’s stepson, assumed leadership of Château Montus and Château Bouscassé, and has been instrumental in the continued success of these vineyards. With over a decade of experience, Veiry manages the vineyards with a serious and determined demeanor that belies his youthful age. His extensive experience among the vines and his dedication to quality and innovation have solidified Veiry’s reputation as a leading figure in contemporary French winemaking.

Together, Brumont and Veiry exemplify a dynamic blend of tradition and innovation, which has garnered international acclaim. Their shared commitment to excellence ensures that Château Montus and Château Bouscassé will continue to produce world-class wines, solidifying their status as benchmarks in the Madiran appellation.
