Domaine Les Hautes Roches Tavel Rose
Tavel
The AOC vineyard of PUJAUT (Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages) , is characterized by the concomitance of a clay-limestone plateau with pebbles of Châteauneuf-du- Pape type , making it possible to elaborate WINES OF DENSE AND ELEGANT , and hillside areas with more or less deep clay-limestone soils , whose grapes produce RIPE AND EASY-DRINKING WINES .
Grape Variety:
Grenache, Syrah, Carignan
Vineyard:
Born in 1929, the cooperative of Pujaut, a village near Avignon, vinifies 720 ha of vines in lirac and tavel crus, regional AOC and IGP. His cuvées are regularly seen in these pages, especially his white wines.
Winemaking:
Maceration from 24 to 48h in the cold. Cold controlled fermentation.
Tasting Note:
If this wine has an intense color with violet reflections, its nose requires a little air to let break through aromas of crushed red fruits. In the mouth, the fruit is more intense, in strawberry and blackcurrant tones, in a well rounded material. The final of beautiful honorable length leaves a good memory.
Pairing Food:
Perfectly complements aromatic cooking, grilled white meats and cold meats.
