Trombetta- Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown

Limited production wines by mother-and-daughter duo Rickey Trombetta Stancliff and Erica Stancliff. Clones of Pinot Noir exemplify the rich minerality, soils and cool weather of the Sonoma Coast, resulting in a beautifully balanced wine, enhancing every meal. Each and every bottle has been hand harvested and hand produced.

Vineyard:
On Gap’s Crown Vineyard, selected clones of Pinot Noir have been planted 15 years ago on the west facing hillside of Sonoma Mountain, offers multiple exposures and excellent Petaluma Gap climate conditions. Soils consist of Goulding Cobbley Loam.
Winemaking:
Grapes are hand-harvested by night and immediately pressed. The fermentation takes place in barrel with native yeast, then the wine is aged for 10 months on lees in French oak barrels.
Tasting note:
This wine offers a nose of juicy blackberry, dark fruit notes. The lush and structured palate confers silky fruit aromas with notes of cooking spices and berry cobbler.
Food pairing:
This wine matches well a large range of food but will be perfect with tasty dishes such as grilled salmon, roasted chicken or pork along with garlic or herbs sauce.
